I help people use exercise to improve their mental health, build resilience and live life on their terms

I became a mental health and exercise coach and personal trainer as exercise changed my life. It enabled me to recover from the darkest days and go on to become the most resilient and happiest version of myself I am today

I now coach others how to use exercise to transform their lives. As a society we are conditioned to start exercise just to lose weight and change our appearance, and this frustrates me. If you look past this, it is clear that regular exercise is the single most effective, accessible and affordable activity available to us to improve our overall health

With over five years experience of working with hundreds of people, I know what barriers people face and the lack of support or empathy often given in a traditional exercise environment. Many have developed the view that they can’t do it, they don’t fit in or they don’t get what they need from it

I provide tailored support that meets people where they are at - regardless of experience levels - and we work together to build a clear plan that lays out what they need to know and where their focus should go

About Me

  • Exercise Changed My Life

    I wouldn’t be in this position today without exercise. I used it to put myself back together, and then eventually turn around every aspect of my health in order to live life on my terms

    My situation came to a head in 2021. I came out of the pandemic suffering from depression and anxiety, and eventually I was signed off long-term sick from work - I broke down and couldn’t cope anymore

    I knew I needed to make changes to how I lived my life, and the gym and moving my body was my lifeline. The energy I did have was used to exercise, and these sessions first helped me stabilise and hang in there mentally, and then soon they became the glue that enabled me to rebuild my life

    I quit my corporate job as drastic changes were needed. I left behind the pressurised office environment and a role that had massively contributed to the desperate situation I found myself in - I was lost, no longer in touch with who I was and what I valued, and it took exercise and working on every side of my health to understand that

    Due to the positive ways in which regular exercise changed my life, I decided to qualify as a personal trainer and then a Mental Health & Exercise Coach, so I could use what I’ve learned to help others improve their mental health through exercise

  • To champion exercise as a powerful tool for change and support people in looking beyond the surface level reasons for exercising. Exercise is a viable alternative tool that can lead to early interventions for mental health support. I coach the whole person, not just the body, and look at every area of their health to ensure they have the best chance of success

  • Empathy - I’ve walked the path you now find yourself on - I’ve felt the pain in both everyday struggle and when trying to do something about my situation

    Education - to change we need to understand the why, and how to move forward, before we then take a different path 

    Abundance - you have everything you need in life, you just need to learn to notice it and harness your energy in the right way to see it clearly 

    Teamwork - a coaching journey is a collaboration, this means we can foster an environment of support, compassion and understanding so that you feel seen, heard and in control

Coaching

I offer online health coaching that gives you the support and tools you need to connect with exercise on a deeper level to create the life you want. We create a fitness and nutrition plan and engage in regular check-ins, alongside you having access to a range of educational tools relevant to your goals. You can be anywhere in the world, although if you are local to Bordon, Hampshire we can also schedule in regular in-person meet-ups as well

Workshops

I deliver in-person and online coaching workshops for groups, covering a range of topics from mental health, nutrition and overall well-being. These can be tailored to corporate and employee settings, depending on your specific requirements. I’ve been a stressed out and unhealthy employee, so I understand first-hand the challenges faced by the modern workforce

Community
